Outdoor Living Pool and Spa Design, Westfield, NJ

Our team was brought into this modern home with a very challenging site. We were tasked with creating a design that would best complement the new home build. For a family that’s main priority was entertaining, we needed to design a space that would encompass many features into the lot. The entertainment areas included a pool with a glass tile spa, sundeck, spacious patio with multiple levels, covered patio seating, an outdoor kitchen with bar seating, as well a fire pit seating area. Retaining walls were needed to be built in order work within existing the lot, as well as working with the topography to level out a grass area for children’s play. Working with light-colored materials, such as light-colored brick and stone choices, sleek tiles, white and gray furniture, and stainless-steel appliances, helped to achieve this modern and functional outdoor space. The flow from the outdoor kitchen, to the dining table, to the living room fire pit area, replicates the natural feel of a home’s interior functionality. The landscaping throughout the property was chosen to help with screening from the neighbors, but also to help create the feel of privacy within each of the separate outdoor spaces.
